Our client is responsible for the production and distribution of entertainment content to channels and broadcasters across the Globe. With audience viewing behaviour changing markedly since the pandemic, Verve was asked to help demonstrate the value of feature films.
Making sense of shifts in audience behaviours required a holistic understanding of needs, attitudes and lifestyles. We combined trends analysis, an intimate online community and a large-scale survey of UK adults, integrated with BARB data, to produce rich insights and real-world anecdotes from diverse consumer voices.
Armed with these different lenses, we helped to reveal why the relationship between our living rooms and films may have changed forever.
In the context of the post-pandemic era and cost of living crisis, this became a story about how film brings people together. As well as playing an integral part in supporting film sales to the UK’s biggest broadcasters in the near term, the study helped to move thinking forward across the wider industry in Europe.
