Following strong growth in 2020, and with ambitious plans for 2021, Verve announced today that industry leader Andy Dexter has joined its board as a non-executive director.

Dexter’s role includes helping to drive Verve’s collaboration, combination and M&A strategy, with a focus on building a business of scale by combining best-in-class businesses with complementary skills, specialisms, platforms or geographies. Verve has already formed a strong and proven strategic partnership with Potentiate, and is seeking to accelerate the model with further initiatives in 2021.

Andy commented:

“Verve is a very interesting and dynamic agency, and one with absolutely stellar potential. I’m delighted to be able to help the executive team on the next strategic leg of the growth journey; there is a fantastic platform to build out from.”

Dexter was previously founder and CEO of research boutique Truth Consulting, and is now also a founding director of visual analytics tech firm Signoi.

Verve grew revenues by 23% last year, closing 2020 at more than £8m turnover. This was driven by growth in the strategic qualitative and innovation specialist areas, coupled with an increased use of community panels to help clients keep up with their ever-changing customers.

Andrew Cooper, CEO and Founder of Verve, commented:

“Although 2020 had its challenges, our growth proves the strength of Verve’s community-driven digital business model. We’re very pleased to welcome Andy on board to help us take the agency to the next level.”

Alongside its strategic partnership initiatives, Verve continues to build the team organically in Europe and the USA with further new joiners due to be announced shortly.
