Warren ListerResearch Director, Qualitative

Warren started his career at Synovate where he quickly discovered a passion for all things qualitative. Moving into brand and advertising research with Rosenblatt he learned to imbed findings in brand values and customers’ needs largely using face-to-face methods with FMCG, government and media organisations. The next step in his career took him to Flavour, an agency with emphasis on understanding shopper behaviour, giving actionable recommendations brought to life through high quality film outputs.

As head of qualitative with Verve Warren loves developing the best talent and using a blend of digital and face-to-face methods to explore how people think, feel & behave - understanding the impact this has on product usage, brands, messaging, buying and future needs.

Ana GarciaDirector, Marketing & Team

At Verve Ana has a dual role; on one side she is leading the company’s marketing and communications strategies, from brand awareness to lead generation. The second side of her role is all about bringing great people to be part of the ever growing Verve team, as well as helping ensure a good work environment for all.

Ana has over 13 years’ experience in Marketing and Market Research industries. Previous to Verve she worked as Global Marketing Manager at Research Now, in the Online Operations department at Harris Interactive and on International Marketing roles at a B2B business and the Mexican Trade Commission in London. Ana has a degree in Marketing and a MA in Social and Market Research from the University of Westminster.

At Verve, Emma is responsible for creating and delivering the Verve Operational Strategy that enables efficient, future thinking quality service to Verve Clients in a fast-paced and changing environment. She is heading the Operational teams for Europe which include: Onboarding, Community Management, Design and Technical (SP, DP & QA).

Emma has over 25 years’ experience as a market research operations professional. During her career, Emma has led teams (ranging from 5 people to 250) for Research International, ORC, TNS, Research Now and Lightspeed GMI. Emma has been instrumental in the successful delivery of many research programmes for major blue chip companies, ensuring she fully appreciates the goals and objectives of the client and enabling the execution of strategic plans.

Olly RobinsonResearch Director

Olly joined Verve in 2014, having previously held roles at GfK and Ipsos where he headed up strategic, international research programmes for technology, telecoms and media clients.

As well as leading some of Verve’s key accounts, Olly works closely with many of our clients to help understand their business challenges, shape their research agenda, and embed insight in their organisation.

Andrew Cooper Founder & CEO

Andrew is a world leading expert in Panels – how to build them and how to monetize them.

He founded Verve as a specialist in Community Panels for research – an enlightened approach to running panels in a way which is more meaningful to members and creates a highly valuable long term sustainable asset for clients of Verve.

Andrew has worked extensively in the US, Europe and Asia developing panels and new panel models to maximise the value generated from each member recruited.

He was the co-founder of Research Now which he built from 2 people to what is now the world’s leading access panel business with over 6 million panel members in 36 countries.

Jon Gumbrell CTO

Jon’s passion lies in developing cutting-edge software for market research agencies and clients and harnessing the power of IT to help improve their feedback systems. Jon’s pedigree extends back to the early days of custom panel technology, when he set up I.D. Factor in the late ‘90s. He built one of the first custom panel platforms which underpinned Microsoft’s IT Pro community.

Responsible for current IT infrastructure and innovation work at Verve. He will ensure that the community panel is kept at the forefront of new technology developments.

Jon is Chief Architect of Verve Engine – Verve’s integrated platform of best in class software for delivering scalable Community Panels globally.

Adrian Harper-Tee MD Commercial & Operations

As Verve’s Managing Director, Adrian leads the financial and operational teams within the business. His experience covers a wide range of industries, including market research, consumer and industrial products, FMCG, retail, private equity, media, leisure & entertainment and mining.

Prior to joining Verve, Adrian’s background was with PwC. He has worked extensively in Europe and Asia advising blue-chip financial and strategic investors, primarily in connection with M&A processes (acquisitions and divestments). He has also performed strategic planning and simplification projects, capital raisings, working capital reviews and stock market flotations, advising on over 100 deals in his career. Adrian is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Luca Antilli Partner

Luca joined Verve as Partner in 2013. His responsibilities cover new business development, senior project leadership, customer immersion planning, and internal training.

Luca has 21 years’ experience in market research both agency and client side, with a particular expertise in media, advertising and customer immersion, gained first as a Planner at ad agency DDB London, and at the BBC as Head of Youth Insight.

He then co-founded Essential Research, a multiple award-winning full-service research agency specialising in media and communications, working in long-term partnership with the UK’s biggest media names including the BBC, Sky, Virgin Media, ITV, Ofcom, O2 and Three.

Georgina Botting Research Director

Georgina has 14 years of research experience, spent almost exclusively in consumer panels for research. She launched one of the first panels to utilise loyalty card data for a major UK supermarket over 10 years ago, and has been developing this approach with retail clients ever since. Georgina is a strong people person and team leader, currently running Verve’s retail and FMCG team.

She specialises in Customer Journey and Decision-Making, NPD and Innovation research.

Paul Ferreira Design Director

Paul joined Verve more than 5 years ago and heads up the design team. During this time he has fully redeveloped and redesigned Verve’s survey toolkit using JavaScript.

Previously Paul was the senior Designer and Developer at the ID Factor and was responsible for introducing Flash into the company and reinventing the look and feel of their surveys. He has also worked as a freelance designer and developer having over 10 years of experience in the industry, creating sites for a range of clients from electrical engineers to children’s books. Paul has worked with clients in a range of sectors – including the aviation, automotive and food & beverage industry. He is passionate about film and new tech.

Pete Flower Director, Community Development & Innovation

Pete has worked in the market research industry since 2007 with experience leading operations and delivery teams across both Europe and North America. At Verve, Pete leads the Community Management team responsible for the day-to-day management of all our community panels.

Pete also works in our Innovation team where his specialty lies in implementing new and emerging technologies for research purposes with experience in mobile research solutions, behavioural tracking and targeting, cookie based ad tracking, sampling technologies and techniques and panel management.

Tim Martin Research Director

Tim heads up the Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) Community Panel, having built up 12 years of research experience, joining Verve from Ipsos.

Tim has a large amount of experience within the health and beauty and pharma sectors, exploring customer journeys, triggers and barriers to purchase, branding, concept testing and loyalty amongst others. He is able to contextualise findings, adding market insight and commercial realism to recommendations.

In his current role, Tim is involved in all WBA projects, ensuring quality standards remain high and results are thoughtfully presented. He also plays a crucial role disseminating the benefits of the panel to the CMI team, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the value of the panel is maximised.

Paul Lawson Research Director

Paul has worked at Verve for more than 5 years, working with the likes of E.ON, HSBC, Boots and Sky to deliver their Community Panels. Paul specialises in NPD and innovation, working with clients to develop products from idea generation through to measuring potential in-market performance.

Paul has worked in research for more than 15 years. Previous to Verve Paul worked at TRBI and Synovate focusing on Public Sector, Finance and FMCG research. During his time at Synovate, Paul worked with Unilever for 7 years including 18 months running the UK Unilever account.

Charles Pearson SVP Global Client Development

Charles has close to 30 years of market research experience and began working extensively with online access panels, custom panels and community panels in 2001 in senior client development roles at MarketTools, followed by Greenfield Online, comScore and Research Now.

Charles began his career in analytics at BBDO New York in 1987 and continued with analytical consulting responsibilities across the U.S. at McKinsey, Nielsen, IRI and Ipsos. Charles was also the Founder & Managing Director of EasyInsites prior to joining Verve in October 2014 where he is currently responsible for client development globally. Charles has a Masters in Statistics from NYU and a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Michigan.

Amyas Peto Technical Director

As Technical Director, Amyas heads all internal operational teams. Amyas’ areas of responsibility include the overseeing of and design and rollout process for Verve’s internal operational teams: Scripting, Data Processing and Quality Assurance. He also manages and integrates the Operations software environment.

Previously Amyas worked as Fieldwork Director at The ID Factor and has 15 years’ experience within the industry. Amyas is a staunch Ipswich Town supporter.

Richard Preedy Research Director

Richard joined Verve from GfK and has ten years’ experience in market research. In addition to managing numerous international strategic programmes on customer experience and brand & comms effectiveness, he specialises in innovation work and integrating data from a number of sources to ensure programmes deliver real value and actionable insights to businesses.

At Verve, he works with a mix of international brands across the financial, consumer technology and retail categories.

Beccy Stamp Research Director

Beccy is a quantitative researcher and specialist in online approaches having worked in research for 18 years. Beccy has a Masters in Social Research Methods and is a long term member of the MRS. Beccy began her career in sports marketing research and prior to Verve was a senior researcher at Kantar Custom Media where she worked with digital publishers including AOL and DMG Media.

Beccy has worked across a variety of sectors including media, retail, energy and financial services. Beccy is passionate about public and policy research, working day to day with the Westminster policy team at the Federation of Small Businesses. She has worked on a number of mixed method studies around the impact on and needs of small businesses with regards to Brexit, and has had the opportunity to present findings to the Treasury.

Sali Turner Qualitative Director

Sali started her career in sales and marketing at SmithKline Beecham, where she became passionate about using research insight to guide brand strategy and development. Moving into qualitative research (firstly at a boutique London-based agency, and then at a full service agency), she joined Verve 2 years ago to head up a team of qualitative researchers working on strategic and tactical projects for a wide range of community panel clients.

The team uses a mix of digital and traditional qualitative approaches to get to the heart of how consumers think and feel about brands, products and marketing communication.

Marie PatenioSenior Vice President, Research & Consulting

Marie is a seasoned market research professional with over 18 years’ experience working in the retail, pharmaceutical, CPG, telecommunication, financial services and media sectors.

She joins Verve North America from comScore where she was Vice President of Survey Insights and managed the custom survey business. Prior to comScore, Marie worked at Starcom Mediavest, TNS (formerly Research International), the ABA Journal and Scott Foresman/Pearson Education.

Charlotte ParisResearch Director

Charlotte focuses on developing our innovation proposition and leads a team of quant researchers servicing b2b and b2c clients across a large array of industries including finance, retail, energy and technology. She is particularly interested in the agile and lean approaches to product and service development and how Verve can learn from pioneering methodologies.

Charlotte holds Masters degrees in Sociology as well as Marketing and Communications. She began her career in marketing and advertising in France and Ireland, followed by 4 years in the business consultancy service of FTI in New York. Once moving back to Europe, Charlotte focused her work on large international projects as part of market opportunity & innovation work at GfK. There she gained experience in leading qual and quant programmes from needs identification, to product pipeline development and go to market strategies.

Nick is an industry expert in customer experience research spanning large scale research eco-system design through to customer journey mapping and customer segmentation. He has worked on a diverse set of public and private sector clients including HMRC, The Home Office, The Co-operative Group, Eon, John Lewis, Royal Mail and O2. Nick has also been a board member of the MRS since 2014.

As MD, Research & Consulting Nick arrives at Verve with a remit to help the already fantastic leadership team drive the next phase of growth for one of the industry’s leading entrepreneurial businesses.

Jon AllisonSenior Research Director North America

Jon brings over 14 years of market research experience to Verve, working across multiple business sectors and a wide range of research methodologies.

He joined Verve North America from Nielsen where he was a Director of Advanced Analytics. Prior to that, Jon worked at TNS (now Kantar TNS) and Synovate (now Ipsos).

Roger in as an Operations expert who is highly skilled at Client Management and Consultation. Working to develop sustainable processes that drives client satisfaction and repeat business is what really motivates Roger.

With over 15 years of Market Research experience much of it at Research Now, Roger has lead teams of up to 60 people across 5 offices and 3 time zones. Roger has been key in leading and managing global key accounts, launching and operationalizing new technologies all while striving to enhance efficiencies. Roger is also a mobile research expert and helped to launch the New Technology Division within North America at Research Now.
